Lunch time

During our stay, we usually have lunch with the locals. Everyone has rice, bananas, chicken, fresh fishes and lot of fruits, and it's never a problem to cook for 5, 10 or 20 persons.
At Engracio's place. Engracio is one of the craftsman who works with the students.
Bread fruit and "Cua-Cua", a fish pretty common during the Gravana season.

It's fresh and it's always good!

Everyday, people in Sao Tome eat fresh fish.

In Sao Tome it's so easy to get a lot of tropical fruits always for a cheap price.
Everyone said no. 
Then everyone said yes. 
Then everyone asked for more.

Parque Popular,  3 minutes walk from the hotel Avenida, São Tomé capital.   
 A small restaurant Downtown.
Another one in Santana.
Sometimes people invite you into their home and, in an instant, their house turns into a small restaurant. Here the house of Mrs. Fatima, a wonderful woman who lives in Agostinho Neto.

Tipical dishes are: Angú - Banana cozida com peixe seco - Blá-Blá - Calúlu - Feijoada à moda da Terra - Iza Quente de Azeite - Iza quente de açucar - Omolete à moda da terra - Blabla - Cachupa - Concon e fruta pão, etc.

Tomatoes, Zucchinis, citrus, peppers, sweet potatoes, ginger, etc.

Jack fruits

Caja mangos, mangos, carambolas, passion fruits, avocados, bread fruits and guavas.

All varieties of bananas, sabe-sabe, and papayas.

And of course, you find all these fruits and vegetables wherever you go.
